ABOUT

Nathan Gabriel is a Persian-American director and educator with an MFA in Directing from Temple University. He has a wide-ranging skill set, having created theatre in almost every genre from Shakespeare to radio drama. He has directed over 50 productions and worked at over a dozen theaters, most notably the Tony Award-winning Shakespeare Theatre Company of DC, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. The fiction podcast he directs, Small Victories, was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and has been internationally celebrated. In addition to directing he has worked in new play development at the Arden Theatre Company and was Associate Artistic Director of New Edgecliff Theatre. He currently teaches in the Temple University theatre department, where he designs online courses about creative thinking and helps to lead a theater program at a college preparatory school. Previously he was the Head of Directing at the University of Louisiana.
