ABOUT

Nathan Gabriel is a Persian-American director and educator. He currently directs the critically acclaimed fiction podcast series Small Victories (listen here), which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. He has directed over 50 productions and worked at over a dozen theaters, most notably the Tony Award-winning Shakespeare Theatre Company of DC, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and at the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland. Beyond directing, he contributed to the New Play Development department at Arden Theatre Company and was Associate Artistic Director of New Edgecliff Theatre – where his producing efforts earned an Acclaim Award. He trains the next generation of theater artists by teaching at Temple University and leading a celebrated theater program at a college preparatory school. His classes focus on acting, directing and creative thinking. Previously, he was the Head of Directing at the University of Louisiana. He holds an MFA in Directing from Temple U.
